Great Date Idea: The Penguin Parade

Filled with angel fish, tiger sharks and ancient sea turtles, no place exudes romance more than an aquarium. Stroll through the hushed, darkened rooms - illuminated by the glow of fish tanks - or spend an hour or two watching the manatees twirl and spin.

As well as boasting an array of alligators, sharks and stingrays, the Florida Aquarium, located at Channelside, has several packages that are perfect for exploratory couples on every kind of budget.

Penguins: Backstage Pass costs $25 per person is a swoon-worthy 30 minute experience, which allows couples to interact with the Aquarium's penguins in an up close and personal setting. You'll both be encouraged to pet, hold and play with your new, hilariously boisterous feathered friends - a great ice breaker for newly dating couples who are concerned about making conversation.

Swim with the Fishes, meanwhile, is a slightly more expensive option at $75 dollars per person. This package sees couples donning diving gear before making a journey into the Aquarium's Coral Reef Exhibit, which simulates an actual reef in the Dry Tortugas in Key West. During this 20 minute experience, you'll meet all manner of sea creatures from sea turtles to eels!

If it's adventure you're looking for (everyone knows raised adrenaline levels increase feelings of lust), $175 each will buy you 90 minutes of face-to-face shark time. Dive With the Sharks provides a unique opportunity to dive in the Aquarium's largest tank (with over 500,000 gallons of salt water), which is home to the sea's most feared and deadliest sharks. If your date hasn't already got your heart racing, you can be sure this will ...
